About me

I have worked as a counsellor in organisations since 2019 and in private practice since 2021. I am an Accredited Counsellor registered with BACP https://www.bacp.co.uk/therapists/395100/caroline-hukins/swindon-sn6.

I hold a Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling from Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling. https://www.bcpc.org.uk/find-a-therapist/profile/2688/carolinehukins

I have a Certificate in Working with Couples accredited by the NCIP (National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists).

In my private practice I work with adults of all ages, and with a wide variety of issues, including low self-esteem, coping with change, relationships, anxiety, loss and bereavement.  I have a lot of experience working with loss, grief, ageing, transitions and change. My goal is to help you understand, like and accept yourself more, as I believe this is the foundation to making any changes you wish to make in your life. I aim to create a trusting therapeutic relationship in which anything can be spoken about, without fear of judgement.

I also work part time for We Hear You (WHY) https://www.wehearyou.org.uk/the-why-team/, a counselling service for people living with and beyond cancer or who have been bereaved through cancer. And I teach on a Level 2 Counselling Skills course for Willows Counselling Service https://www.willowscounselling.org.uk/.

I offer weekly appointments in person at my garden office in Ashton Keynes (near Cirencester, Swindon, Cricklade, Malmesbury). I also work online, so I can see you without the time or cost of travel.
